Style Spotting & Shopping: The Fashion Post

December 19, 2011 by   louwhatwear.com

Okay, so this post is LONG overdue but better late than never (at least that’s what I think). A little while ago (I won’t go into specifics since they bring awareness to how long this has taken me to write) I skipped out of work and headed over to The Fashion Post for a fun event for a great cause – The West End School. (I’m also excited since this is my first foray into men’s wear.)

After a long day, I was greeted at the door in the best way possible – with a big smile and a glass of bourbon (Pappy too – not too shabby). I spent the next hour catching up with friends and picking out a couple choice Christmas presents courtesy of State Traditions. I also met Christie Mueller, author of Gridiron Belles – A Guide to Saturdays in the South. The book is play-by-play of the ins and outs of football in the south.

If you’re looking for a last minute gift for the preppy guy(s) on your list, The Fashion Post is perfect. But beyond that they’ve got some great stuff for the guy that wants to look good (and c’mon, who doesn’t). The best part is that you don’t have to mess with the crazy crowds and parking fiascos at the mall – just waltz right in, grab some gifts and you’re done.

Here are some of my favorites! Enjoy!

Boys love Bourbon…

… and need boxers.

Frances Houston – State Traditions Rep for KY and Christie – Author of Gridiron Belles

State Traditions has some really fun sports-themed gear but their hats, t-shirts and polos are covered with team logos. Thankfully, my best guy isn’t a loyal LWW reader so I think the secret is safe. The lovely Frances is the local State Traditions rep and if Cardinal Red & Wildcat Blue aren’t your thing, she can help get you hooked up with your team colors of choice.

The Dapper Chris Payne, Dean Wilkinson & Clark King shopping in style.

Belts for the lover of all things – sports, beer, golf, bourbon, boats and more.

Thanks so much to Bob from The Fashion Post for having me!
